ChatGPT is amazing—but if you’ve ever gotten generic, unhelpful answers, it’s not the tool’s fault. It’s the prompt.

The truth is, great results come from great instructions.

In this post, I’ll show you the exact ChatGPT prompt formula I use to write content faster, save hours of brainpower, and create posts that are polished, personal, and packed with value.

My ChatGPT Prompt Formula for Fast, High-Quality Content

1. Start with the Goal

What do you want ChatGPT to create?

Examples:

  • A list of blog post ideas
  • A rough draft of a social media caption
  • A product description for your digital product

Prompt it like this:

“I want to write a [type of content] to [main goal]. Can you help me brainstorm a list / write a draft / outline it?”

2. Add Your Audience

Let ChatGPT know who it’s writing for.

Example add-on:

“The audience is beginner digital product creators who want to grow on Pinterest.”

This helps tone, language, and content stay on point.

3. Be Specific About the Format

If you want a list, ask for a list. If you want a 3-paragraph post, say that!

Examples:

  • “Give me 10 short-form caption ideas with hook + CTA.”
  • “Write a 300-word blog intro in a friendly tone.”

4. Add Examples or Style Notes (Optional but Powerful!)

Tell ChatGPT how you want the output to feel.

Try saying:

“Make it sound friendly, encouraging, and clear—like I’m talking to a friend over coffee.”
Or…
“Use a bold headline, bullet points, and a CTA at the end.”

5. Refine It in the Next Prompt

The first result is just the beginning! Follow up with:

  • “Can you make it more beginner-friendly?”
  • “Add a stronger CTA at the end.”
  • “Give me 3 variations of that headline.”

✨ The more you guide it, the better the results.

💬 Copy-and-Paste Prompt Template:

I’m creating a [type of content] for [audience] that helps them [goal].

Please write it in a [tone] voice and format it as [format].

Add a strong CTA at the end and make it sound [extra details like “excited,” “supportive,” “actionable,” etc.].

Example Prompt:

I’m creating an Instagram carousel for new digital product creators who want to grow their list. Write it in a casual, encouraging tone with a hook, 5 tips, and a CTA. Make it feel like advice from a big sister who’s been there.

Great Prompts = Great Content (in Less Time)

If you want to create more content without the burnout, mastering prompts is a game-changer.

✨ Use this formula to guide ChatGPT like your own personal assistant—and watch it turn your ideas into clear, compelling content in minutes.
